Students in Year 10 and staff have been treated to the skills and expertise of two professional chefs in recent weeks. Both gentlemen are ex-Downlands pupils and have taken the skills they learnt here at school and made very successful careers.
It started with a Fish Masterclass with local chef Henry Langridge (fish was kindly donated by Rushfields Garden Centre) – the students had a fantastic evening creating a delicious fish dish.
This week they were treated to a visit by James Villiers who created a wonderful chicken dish with students and staff. The aromas coming from the Technology kitchen until 6pm were mouth watering!
