Just a few days in and school is really busy already! There are lots of exciting things coming up this term including so many PE fixtures from football to cross country competitions. Please keep in touch with our students exploits by checking out the PE Twitter feed.
On 24 January, it will be Flexiday – a day when each year group comes off timetable and does interesting and enjoyable activities to support their studies
In just a few weeks time – and after weeks of rehearsals – we are delighted that our students will be performing in this year’s production ‘Wind in the Willows’ on 6, 7 and 8 February. Tickets will be on sale very soon.
Year 11 are now on the home straight and will be sitting their mock GCSEs after half term and then it is full on until the exams proper start in the middle of May. Next week they have been invited to attend the GCSE Survival Skills evening – which will give tips on diet, exercise and mindfulness as they enter a potentially stressful period.
On the last day of this half term almost 100 students will leave Downlands for Austria and a week of skiing, snow boarding and other snow based exploits! The snow in Obertauern is already fabulous so it promises to be a great trip.
