Dance Show 2019 – A Stylish Affair

“Do it big, do it right and do it with style” said Fred Astaire and Downlands Community School 2019 Dance Show did all of those! Headteacher Mark Wignall’s vision to have an active and full creative arts provision at Downlands has certainly paid off. The months of rehearsals, hours spent in the impressive new Dance Studio and perseverance provided the audiences at this year’s shows with a delightful and beautiful evening of dance. It was a colourful, energetic and stunning display of dance – from the individual performances from Year 11 student Emily Wright to the Junior Dance Company’s performance to Grease Lightning. Thank you to all the students who took part – over 80 – from Years 7 to 11 for a memorable evening and of course to our brilliant Dance teacher, Morvah Cull who is an inspiration to all the students.
