It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it started on Saturday!

A very big thank you to everyone who visited our Christmas Market on Saturday and kicked off the most wonderful time of the year in style. From the Christmas Tree Forest to the orchestra and choir, it was fabulously festive morning. Thank you to the families who came along to help and everyone who made generous donations to the tombolas and the raffle (which will be drawn on 18 December – watch this space).
The tree that received the most votes for the Christmas Tree Forest was the British Legion tree closely followed by the Hassocks Hardware Tree. Thank you to everyone who voted and to all the local businesses who took part. We raised an incredible £310.03 which will be winging it’s way to the Chestnut Tree House Hospice.
We were especially proud of our Year 7 and Year 8 students who ran stalls for us. Their combined efforts raised over £400 for the school. Well done. The winner of the Name the Teddy stall was Mrs Hudson (Pastoral Support Officer for Year 7) who guessed the name ‘Mr Cuddles’ and the teddy will be in her office ready for all Year 7 students to have a cuddle when they need one! The winner of the Guess the Sweets in the Jar competition was Tom Read – who correctly guessed 418 sweets! Mr Smith will be marking the ‘Where in the World’ competition soon and the winner will be included on this page asap.
