Do you know about ChatHealth?
- ChatHealth is a text messaging service that allows people aged 11-19 to message a school nurse for advice on a range of issues.
- Texts will be responded to by the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust’s school nursing team within one working day. The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am – 4.30pm excluding bank holidays. Outside of these hours, an automated message is sent with advice on where to get help if the question is urgent.
- The service also provides more information about accessing other local services including getting help with emotional health, weight management and healthy relationships.
- Students who have used the ChatHealth service said “I liked using ChatHealth because it’s less embarrassing, easy, confidential and anonymous.”
- Text 07480 635424 to talk to a nurse today.
