Our Open Evening for prospective students is on Thursday 5th October from 6 -8.30 pm
There will be two opportunities to hear the Headteacher’s address – the first talk will begin at approximately 6.15pm or once the Hall is full; this talk will then be repeated at 7.30pm.
Once the first talk has taken place, visitors will be accompanied by student guides on a tour of the school. If you are attending the 7.30pm talk, tours will take place from 6.15pm and a bell will ring in time for the second talk. The tours will allow you to experience the warm, friendly and unique character that Downlands is renowned for and will also provide an opportunity for you to ask students their views on ‘life at Downlands’. We are very proud of our school and fortunate that our students are our finest ambassadors.
We are also very proud of the support and care we offer students and we attach great importance to building positive and supportive relationships with our parents. We are really looking forward to meeting you so we can demonstrate Downlands special ethos and can answer any questions you have.
We will also be pleased to welcome any prospective parents/carers and pupils who wish to visit Downlands during the teaching day in the period: Monday 9 October to Friday 20 October between 9.00am and 12.30pm each day
Tours of the school will provide an opportunity for parents/carers to see the school at work and ask any relevant questions. Please telephone the school on the above number to make an appointment.
